Tips & Tricks from Real Parents

1

Visit in June-August for the most powerful waterfall but expect to get soaked. Ponchos are sold at the gate.

2

The Knife-Edge Bridge gives the best views but is intense for kids under 6 with the mist and noise.

3

The Devil's Pool (natural infinity pool at the falls edge) is only for confident swimmers aged 12+.

4

Combine with a sunset boat cruise on the Zambezi River hippos and elephants at dusk.

5

Book the Livingstone Island tour for a guided lunch right on the edge of the falls.

A Real Parent's Story

When my 6-year-old saw a rainbow at her feet

The mist was so thick we thought wed get soaked. Then the sun hit it and a full rainbow appeared below us at the cliff edge. My daughter thought we were in heaven.

I kept saying Youll see the smoke and hear the thunder. Nothing prepared her for the reality. When we reached the main viewpoint, the mist created this massive rainbow arc at the top of the falls. She reached out her hand to touch it. She said Is this what heaven looks like? Couldnt argue with that.
