A Real Parent's Story

The Bat Cave was too real for our 4-year-old

My son screamed when the projected bats 'flew' at his face. But my 7-year-old loved it so much she went through 4 times. ROM has something for every age - just know your kid's limits with the immersive exhibits.

The Bat Cave exhibit sounded cool. I figured all three kids would love it. Wrong. My 4-year-old clung to my leg and screamed. My 7-year-old asked to go again immediately. My 11-year-old took notes about bat species. The ROM is like three different museums under one roof - the trick is knowing which one fits your kid on any given day.
