Why Families Love Singapore Discovery Centre
An interactive science and defence museum where kids can experience a simulated earthquake, pilot an F-16 fighter jet, and explore a massive indoor playground. The outdoor 'Army Experience' lets children climb on real military vehicles, while the 5D theatre makes learning about Singapore's history genuinely thrilling.

Tips & Tricks from Real Parents
The Black Lake Laser Battlefield is the biggest kid favourite - book a slot when you arrive as they fill up fast on weekends.
Kids under 7 will love the XD Theatre ride more than the 5D show. The 5D can be loud and intense for sensitive kids.
The outdoor section closes at 5:30 PM. Do the military vehicle playground before the indoor galleries.
Weekday mornings are nearly empty. You will have entire exhibits to yourselves.
Combine with a trip to the nearby Chinese Garden or Japanese Garden for a picnic lunch.
Entry is free for Singapore citizens and PRs. Tourists pay SGD 15 per adult, SGD 10 per child.
The 'Singapore Through The Ages' exhibit has interactive screens where kids can design their own HDB flat - surprisingly addictive.

A Real Parent's Story
My budding pilot crashed the simulator three times
“Our 7-year-old announced he was going to be an Air Force pilot after 'flying' the F-16 simulator. He crashed three times. Did not dent his confidence one bit.”

We came on a rainy Saturday expecting a boring museum. Three hours later, we had to drag our kids out. The F-16 flight simulator lets you feel real G-forces - not intense, just enough to make it exciting. Our son crashed into the sea three times but walked away shouting 'Best day ever!' The indoor playground has a two-storey slide and a ball pit that kept our 4-year-old occupied for an hour.
