Why Families Love Shanghai Disneyland
Shanghai Disneyland is the newest and most impressive Disney castle park in Asia, with the largest Disney castle in the world and unique rides like TRON Lightcycle Power Run and Pirates of the Caribbean. The park is well-organized with stroller-friendly pathways, English and Mandarin signage, and a FastPass system via the official app. Adventure Isle and Fantasyland are best for families with gentle rides and character meet-and-greets.

A Real Parent's Story
When TRON Broke My Son Brain (In a Good Way)
“My 8-year-old has been talking about TRON since we left. He redesigned his bedroom to look like the light cycle room.”

I grew up going to Disneyland in California. Shanghai Disney is different. The TRON ride is a launched motorbike coaster in complete darkness with neon light trails. My 8-year-old was barely tall enough to ride (122 cm minimum). He climbed into the bike position, nervous but brave. We launched from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds. Coming off the ride, he was shaking with adrenaline and grinning so hard his face hurt. We rode it four more times. The Enchanted Storybook Castle is stunning and the Pirates ride is a technological marvel, but TRON was the main event.
