Tips & Tricks from Real Parents

1

Take the boat to Monkey Beach for RM10 per person and walk back through the jungle trail for 1.5 hours of easy terrain to save money and see more wildlife.

2

Keep all food hidden from monkeys as they will snatch bags, bottles, and even phones if they see food nearby.

3

The canopy walkway is only 15m high but the floor is mesh so kids scared of heights may freeze up.

4

Wear long pants and bring mosquito repellent. The leeches come out after rain and socks alone will not save you.

A Real Parent's Story

A monkey stole our lunch and my 5-year-old laughed for 10 minutes straight

The monkey was faster than any kid I have ever seen. My daughter thought it was the funniest thing ever.

We were warned. We even read the signs. But my wife turned her back for two seconds and a macaque was off with our bag of nasi lemak. Our 5-year-old was in hysterics. The monkey sat on a rock 10 meters away eating our lunch like it was a royal banquet. We ended up buying nasi lemak from the boat guy on the way back. Would not trade that memory for anything.
