Tips & Tricks from Real Parents
Book tickets online at least 3 days in advance — same-day tickets often sell out by noon, especially on weekends.
The Great Star Hall show is a must, but skip the 3D movie if your kids are under 6 — the glasses can be scary and the volume is loud.
Head straight to the Lunarium interactive hall on floor -2. That’s where kids 4-12 spend most of their time doing hands-on experiments.
The rooftop telescope sessions run only on clear evenings (April-October). Queue starts 30 min before sunset — bring a jacket, it’s windy up there.
Combine with the Moscow Zoo next door — they’re a 5-minute walk apart and make a perfect full-day combo for kids.

A Real Parent's Story
She asked if we could ‘go to space again tomorrow’
“After the Great Star Hall show, my 6-year-old daughter turned to me with wide eyes and whispered, ‘Can we go to space again tomorrow?’ She spent the next hour glued to the gravity simulator, refusing to leave.”

I was worried a planetarium would bore a 6-year-old. I was so wrong. The Lunarium has this spinning gravity well where kids toss coins and watch them spiral — she did it 15 times. The 4D movie with wind and vibration made her scream with joy. We stayed 4 hours and only left because she was hungry. The gift shop rocket toys are surprisingly affordable too.
