A Real Parent's Story

Watching Panda Cubs Grow Up

My kids spent an hour watching the twin panda cubs wrestle and tumble. They have asked to move to Macau.

The panda pavilion in Coloane is a hidden gem. The indoor viewing area is air-conditioned and spacious with large glass windows. The twin cubs Jian Jian and Kang Kang were hilarious -- tumbling over each other, climbing trees and falling off, wrestling like fluffy toddlers. My kids stood pressed against the glass the whole time. The outdoor viewing area is nice too when the weather is good. Seac Pai Van Park itself is lovely with walking trails, a playground, and a small zoo with monkeys and birds. We spent about 3 hours total. It costs just 10 MOP for adults. A refreshing break from the casinos.
