Tips & Tricks from Real Parents
Book a 3-day/2-night package — one full day of safari is enough for kids and the rest is pool time.
Request a jeep safari over elephant-back — it's safer for young children and you can carry snacks and water easily.
Bring binoculars and a kids' wildlife checklist — turning the safari into a scavenger hunt keeps them engaged.
Stay at a resort inside the buffer zone — they have cultural dance shows in the evening that kids love.
Avoid July-September (monsoon) — leeches are everywhere and many trails close.

A Real Parent's Story
The rhino that photobombed our picnic
“We were eating sandwiches at the riverbank when a rhino and her calf walked out of the jungle 30 meters away. Our 6-year-old whispered 'Is that a unicorn?'”
We'd heard about rhino sightings but didn't really expect to see one up close. We stopped for a riverside picnic around noon — sandwiches, chips, the works. Suddenly the bushes rustled and out came a mother rhino with her baby. Our son dropped his sandwich and just stared. The rhino looked at us, snorted, and went back to eating grass. Our daughter asked if it was a baby unicorn that lost its horn. To be fair, the baby rhino absolutely looked like one.
