Tips & Tricks from Real Parents

1

Buy tickets online in advance — the queue at the gate can be 30 minutes on summer weekends and the online price is cheaper.

2

The 'Taiga' rollercoaster is world-class but has a 120 cm height requirement. Check at the measurement station before queuing.

3

There's a dedicated 'Peukaloisen Maa' (Thumbelina's Land) area for under-5s with gentle rides and no queues.

4

Wednesday afternoons are local 'happy hour' — discounted entry after 3 PM on most Wednesdays.

5

The park has excellent dietary accommodation — labels allergens clearly and offers gluten-free and dairy-free options.

6

Bring cash. Some food stalls and games are cash-only, though most rides accept cards.

A Real Parent's Story

When our shy kid rode the little rollercoaster 7 times

My 5-year-old was terrified of everything. Then she did the 'Kieppi' — a gentle rollercoaster for little ones — and asked to go again. Seven times.

We brought our daughter expecting her to hate it. She's the cautious type. But the 'Peukaloisen Maa' area is genius — the rides are small enough that kids feel in control. She picked the little rollercoaster, screamed the whole way, and immediately asked to go again. The Finnish summer night (light until 10 PM!) meant we stayed until closing. She fell asleep in the car with the biggest smile.
