Tips & Tricks from Real Parents

1

Start with the 'Hall of Space' on the third floor — the rocket models and astronaut suits are the most impressive and get crowded after 11 AM.

2

The 3D science film costs extra but is worth it for kids 6+. The 'Dinosaurs of India' film runs at 12 PM and 3 PM.

3

The 'Human Biology' hall has a transparent model of a beating heart that fascinates kids. Press the button to watch blood flow through each chamber.

4

There’s a tinkering lab on the ground floor where kids 8+ can build simple circuits. Ask at the front desk for timings.

5

Avoid weekends unless you enjoy elbow-to-elbow crowds. Weekday mornings are practically empty.

A Real Parent's Story

He asked if I was a robot too after the robotics demo

After controlling the robotic arm for 10 minutes, my 5-year-old turned to me very seriously and asked 'Papa, are you also a robot?' He wasn’t joking. That’s when you know science has truly blown their mind.

My son is obsessed with robots, so the National Science Centre was our top priority for our Delhi trip. The robotics section alone was worth the drive. He spent 20 minutes moving the robotic arm, picking up blocks, stacking them. An engineer working there noticed his interest and spent 15 extra minutes showing him how the sensors worked. That kind of staff engagement is rare.
