Start with the yellow (easy) course if your kids are under 8. The black (expert) course requires serious upper body strength.
The Bedugul area is 600m above sea level and much cooler than the coast. Bring a light jacket — you'll actually need it.
Combine with the Bedugul Botanical Garden and Ulun Danu Beratan Temple for a full day in the highlands.
Wear closed-toe shoes with good grip. Flip-flops are not allowed and they don't rent shoes.
The drive from Kuta/Seminyak takes 1.5-2 hours. Leave by 7 AM to avoid traffic.

Bali Treetop Adventure Park is a hidden gem. The continuous safety line system means kids can't unclip themselves — as a safety-conscious parent, that gave me peace of mind. The courses range from easy (1m high, simple bridges) to expert (20m high, wobbly logs). Set in the lush Bedugul Botanical Gardens, it's a welcome cool escape from Bali's coastal heat.
